Nadine Labaki

Nadine Labaki was born in 1974 in Lebanon. A graduate in audiovisual from the University of Beirut (IESAV), she made her school film 11 rue Pasteur in 1997. She then shot commercials and music videos. In 2004, she was welcomed to the Cannes Film Festival Residence to write her first feature film, Caramel, which was a great international success. In 2011, Where Do We Go Now? was selected for Un Certain Regard in Cannes. In 2018, she shot Capharnaüm. She is also an actress.
