Shiraishi Kazuya

Shiraishi Kazuya, born in Hokkaido in 1974, began his career working as an assistant to director Kōji Wakamatsu. He directed his first feature film, Lost Paradise in Tokyo, in 2009. In 2013, his film The Devil's Path was nominated for the Japanese Academy Awards and he was named best director for Birds Without Names in 2017 and The Blood of Wolves in 2018. In 2019, he was voted best director of the year at the famous Kinema Junpo Awards for Sea of ​​Revival.
