Hasan Hadi 

Hasan Hadi was born and raised in southern Iraq during the war. He works in journalism and production as an associate professor at New York University. A Sundance Lab fellow in 2022, he received the 2022 Sundance/NHK Award, the SFFILM Rainin U.S. Grant, and the Doha Film Institute Grant for his debut feature film, The President's Cake.
