Fujimoto Akio 

Fujimoto Akio was born in 1988 in Osaka, Japan. After studying family psychology, he learned filmmaking at the Osaka Academy of Visual Arts. He heads the selection committee for the Student Film category at the Nara International Film Festival. In 2013, he directed his first short film, Psychedelic Family. He then moved to Tokyo to work on his first feature film, Passage of Life, which was selected for the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. Since then, based in Yangon and Tokyo, he has directed programs and documentaries for Japanese broadcasters. Along the Sea, his second feature film, was in competition at FICA in 2022.
