John Woo

John Woo was born in 1946 in Guangzhou. In 1951, his parents moved to Hong Kong. At a very young age, he was an assistant director at Cathay Studios and then at Shaw Brothers. In 1974, he made his first film, Young Dragons. He then joined Golden Harvest and then the Cinema City Company. He then signed his major Hong Kong films. In 1992, he moved to Los Angeles. Then began his American career.
