Bi Gan  

Bi Gan was born in 1989 in Kaili, Guizhou Province. After studying communication, he wrote and directed his first short film, Diamond Sutra, in 2013. His first feature film, Kaili Blues, was selected for numerous festivals and won awards at Locarno, Nantes, and the Golden Horse Film Festival. His second feature film, Long Day's Journey into Night, a co-production between China and France, was selected for Un Certain Regard at Cannes in 2018. In 2025, Resurrection, a science fiction film, competed at Cannes and received the Special Jury Prize.
