Bernard Louargant was born in Paris. After studying film at Paris 8 University and the National Audiovisual Institute, he taught photography and filmmaking in community education programs before founding a film production company. A writer and director, he is a member of the SCAM (French Society of Authors, Composers and Music Publishers) and the SACD (French Society of Dramatic Authors and Composers) and the Cinémathèque Française (French Film Archive).
