Lo Wei
Lo Wei was born in Jiangsu Province, China, in 1918. He began his career as an actor, then moved to Hong Kong after the war and joined Yung Hwa Studios in 1948. In 1957, he created his own studio and shot his first film, Love. In 1961, he joined MP&GI as a director and also worked for other studios, including Shaw Brothers from 1965. He directed several films that were commercial successes. In 1970, he joined Golden Harvest and shot Big Boss with Bruce Lee. In 1975, he created his own company, Lo Wei Motion Picture Co. Ltd.2. He gave Jackie Chan a chance and directed him in The New Fury to Win in 1976. He made about fifty films and died in 1996.
