Lu Xuechang was born in 1964.
Graduated from Beijing Film Academy, he was a sixth Chinese film director.
His debut feature The Making of Steel (1996) which is critic of modern Chinese society has been censored and its International festival run very limited.
He also directed TV movies and commercials.
