Patiparn Boontarig est diplômé en cinéma et photographie de l'université Thammasat à Bangkok. Il travaille sur un certain nombre de courts métrages et de documentaires en tant que réalisateur et scénariste. Il est assistant réalisateur de Phuttiphong Aroon Pheng sur le film Manta Ray (Venise 2018) et de Jakrawal Nilthamrong sur Anatomy of Time (Grand Prix FILMeX de Tokyo 2021). Solids by the Seashore est son premier long métrage.
