Jung Wonhee went in France to suty after directing a short film, Ordinary Woman in 2009. She directed in Paris some shorts, as François in 2013 and Belle Ville in 2016. Her first feature film, Doom Doom, has been showed in the Korean Cinema Today section at the 2021 Busan International Film Festival.
