Yves Thoraval is in charge of cultural exchanges within French. After graduating from INALCO, he left for New Orleans and Cairo, before travelling through India and Middle Eastern countries for over 30 years. He always remained focused on one main passion: cinema. He is also a regular collaborator for France Culture, Le Monde Diplomatique, l'Avant-Scène, Cinemaya...He wrote several books such as: The Cinemas of India, Les cinémas du Moyen-Orient, Les écrans du croissant fertile.
