Found by a grocer in a crate of oranges, Cheburashka lands in Russia; however the zoo does not want to keep such creature non-identified as any animal species. At the same time Gena, the zoo crocodile, desperately tries to find a friend through the ads he puts all over the city…Happily they meet by chance and become friends.
Then they decide to build ‘the house of friends’. A circus comes to town. Gena and Cheburashka rush to see the show and want join the troupe, but none of them knows how to juggle and even less how to walk on a tight rope…On their way back home, they meet Masha whom they help to improve the art of tightrope walking.
Another day, they help a former magician to find his grand-daughter and they even call Shapoklyak, the old mischievous lady.
