Three Adventures of Brooke - XING XI SE SANCI QIYU

Xingxi Brooke, a young Chinese woman, travels alone in northern Malaysia. She experiences three distinct, yet parallel, adventures, all beginning with the same point: on a sweltering day, lost by the side of a road, she gets a flat tire on her bicycle… “Each of us is our own solitary planet. It is only by chance and luck that we find ourselves on the same orbit and traveling in the same direction, regardless of how long or short the time we spend together. When we finally part ways at the end of the journey, we say to each other, ‘Take care,’ before each going our separate ways.” Three stories, one heroine, the same setting, and the same unity of time. But due to minute changes in the universe, Brooke experiences three different, yet all wonderful, journeys. In turn, these adventures allow her to grow. While wishing to express my deepest respect for the work of Eric Rohmer, I hope that my film will evoke the light, moving, intimate, and controlled aspects of "life's uncertainties" through the eyes of a young woman.
