by Jamyang Dorji - Bhutan
In 1980s Bhutan, a mother from a poor and isolated community travels a long distance to obtain medicine for her critically ill child. But, in a cruel twist of fate, she discovers that although the medicine is distributed free of charge by the government, she must provide a container for the precious liquid. She has no bottle and cannot afford to buy one. Thus begins her quest for a simple container… Jamyang Dorji conceived this film to highlight the harsh reality of poverty, where even the most basic necessities—like a simple container—can be unattainable.
