Pitch
This first-ever feature-length film in Tibetan comprises four segments directed by Tibetan filmmakers living in exile in India, the United States, and Vietnam. Each film delves deeply into the themes of displacement and migration, movingly capturing the poignant realities of Tibetans scattered across the globe. A Tibetan father living in Vietnam tells his young daughter how the Mekong River, which originates in his homeland, flows into the sea of their adopted country. Two sisters reunite in a bittersweet ceremony to cremate their deceased mother and discover that years of separation have woven complex situations they must now try to unravel. Sonam is trying to recover from a family tragedy when a long-lost school friend from the United States pushes him and his wife to confront the fragility of their existence. A son returns to his deceased father's house in Dharamsala, where he glimpses fragments of his past and discovers a secret that challenges his understanding of his heritage and identity.
