Pitch

Lingshi is a mountain village located at an altitude of 3,600 meters in the Bhutanese Himalayas. It takes four days of walking to reach this wild region. Ugen Tenzin, 49, has been a postman-runner for 26 years. Every month, he walks to Bhutan's capital. His journey lasts between 12 and 15 days. These solitary trips, both adventurous and dangerous, sometimes bring him close to death. But his dedication has paid off: thanks to his 26 years of service and a regular income, he has achieved a certain level of prosperity. Despite the difficulties, the risks, and the fatigue of the climbs and descents through mountains and valleys, Ugen will continue until his retirement. He has known and experienced both sides of life—the bustling city and the peaceful village. If he had to choose, he would unhesitatingly choose his home, even if it meant a four-day walk to get there. Through him, the film introduces us to the yak herding community of Lingshi. They live in a pristine environment—difficult, certainly, but peaceful, with only the bare necessities.
