Ugyen Wangdi

Ugyen Wangdi studied film at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune. He then founded his own production company and made educational and institutional videos. In 1998, he directed Price of Knowledge, an award-winning documentary at the Nuoro International Film Festival in Italy, and received a Certificate of Merit at the San Francisco International Film Festival. Price of Letter is the sequel to Price of Knowledge. Ugyen Wangdi is often considered Bhutan's first filmmaker and the father of Bhutanese documentary cinema.
