Pig at the Crossing

Pitch

Dolom, 29, a passionate YouTube creator and recently appointed teacher at a school in Bhutan, spends a night with Deki, 32, a married woman. When she discovers she is pregnant, Dolom devises a plan to conceal their affair and protect his reputation. On his way to meet Deki, Dolom has a motorcycle accident and wakes up in a strange and chaotic world. Gradually, he realizes he is actually dead. With the help of a mysterious guide, Dolom explores this in-between world and confronts his troubled past and the consequences of his actions. As time collapses around him, he must choose between righting his wrongs and letting go of his attachment to his old life, or remaining trapped in a dreamlike limbo for eternity. “I am on a lifelong journey to tell stories that explore the full spectrum of human nature, including the darker emotions that lead us into morally ambiguous situations—the struggle to do what is considered ‘right.’ I am fascinated by ‘good and evil’ and by the possibility of perceiving the goodness in a character despite their morally questionable behavior.” Khyentse Norbu
