Following a failed murder attempt orchestrated by his own brother, the 13th Prince of the kingdom of Yan-ling stays with Fei, a humble fisherman but fearsome swordsman to whom he owes his life. Charmed by Fei's innocence and skill, the fallen prince asks him to go and fetch his fiancée, Moon Crescent. Many obstacles will get in the way of the well-bred young woman and the naive villager.
