Elahe Esmaili was born in 1990 in Mashhad, Iran. She studied directing at the National Film and Television School in the United Kingdom. Graduated from Tehran University of Art. His first film, in 2021, The Doll received the prize for best international short film at Hot Docs. It has also been selected in numerous festivals. She has just finished a short film, Shadows.
