A young writer leaves the manuscript of his novel in a copy shop in order to have it photocopied and promises to come and collect it in the evening. But he never comes back. A few days later, the young woman who runs the shop is astounded to discover that the writer has been murdered because of that very manuscript. She goes through a series of experiences which enlighten her lack of political and social awareness.

"The original idea for the film was to move the issue of freedom of expression from the public sphere into the otherwise ordinary everyday life of our fellow citizens. Politics comes into the life of an ordinary young girl, who runs a photocopy shop in a small remote town in Kerala, in the shape of a sheaf of papers. It becomes a part of her quiet, secluded daily life. Politics involves interventions and the changes brought about by these interventions are also political. I tried to adopt a narrative style which resonates with the very essence of the film." Indhu VS
