Partho Sen-Gupta was born in Bombay in 1965. He has worked in cinema since the age of 17 as an art director and production manager on several films, television series and commercials in India. He studied at FEMIS in Paris. In 1996, he directed his first short film, Le Cochon. In 2004, he shot his first feature, Let The Wind Blow, selected at the Berlin Film Festival. He lives in Australia where he filmed Slam.
