Mustafa on one side, Salwa and the children on the other, a family lives separated on either side of the Israeli Wall, just 200 meters apart. They resist on a daily basis with all the cunning and tenderness necessary to “live” like everyone else, when a serious incident upsets this fragile balance. To find his wounded son on the other side, the father embarks on an odyssey through the checkpoints, a passenger in an illegal minibus where everyone's destinies collide with the most absurd obstacles. "Oppression alienates you by trampling on your most fundamental rights, and even more so when you begin to adapt to that oppression! Forced separation is an enormous suffering. 200 Meters is my story, the story of thousands of Palestinians, and stories can definitely change lives. I believe in the power of cinema, in the way it can affect us as if by magic. I needed to tell this story... Here in Palestine, we have become accustomed to adapting to new situations, doing what we are told, and hiding our feelings. But we must no longer accept this." Ameen Nayfeh
