A classical music enthusiast, François decides to rediscover his grandmother's country, Vietnam, through a world he doesn't know: football. The orchestra becomes a lifeline, accompanying him throughout his journey, showing him how similar football and music are, and revealing his deep connection to Vietnam. "Why football? This question could be the very central issue of the film. The choice of a subject is never rational: it can arise from a train of thought, a sudden impulse, or simply a moment of inspiration. Obviously, football is the most popular sport in Vietnam, as in many other countries. It offers a fascinating window into understanding society, with a unique narrative power… I wanted to show that one can love classical music and football, and that these two worlds, which I consider almost as characters in the film, converse, love each other, and dance together."
