Pitch

Kinley, a detective, investigates the disappearance of a Buddhist nun. He forms a turbulent alliance with his only suspect, Choden, a seductive woman considered a "demon" by the villagers. As Choden tells him stories about the Dakinis (enlightened Buddhist women endowed with power and wisdom), Kinley believes he glimpses the solution to the case. However, he will eventually succumb to Choden's charms and her supernatural beliefs. This "Buddhist noir" is the first feature film by director and screenwriter Dechen Roder, one of the few women in her profession in Bhutan.
