Pak, a taxi driver, and Hoi, a retired man, live in Hong Kong. They have built their lives around their families but their chance meeting means they get carried away in a beautiful love story that they decide to pursue without upsetting the traditions of their community.
"The contributors in the book that inspired me have all got very different stories but in substance they are very similar: their attachment to family and the way they wish to maintain a certain harmony in the face of society and what it expects of them. Their personal desires do not come into play. Therefore, I created these two different characters with different family situations. Pak protects his family within a conventional framework and Hoi is a single father." Ray Yeung
