FOCUS ON BURMESE CINEMA
Moe grew up in strict traditions. Way, rebellious and free-spirited, was born with a defective heart and isolates herself from the world, planning to die anonymously. They meet at the hospital when Moe is diagnosed with a neuro-sarcoma. Although she appears calm on the surface, Moe is terrified of her imminent death and finds comfort in Way's carefree attitude. This unlikely duo grows close. Way teaches Moe how to simply live, while Moe frantically tries to prepare herself for death. Moe eventually realizes that Way is also hiding her own fear of death and deeply rooted traumas. Together, they embark on a journey to find the legendary "sea of clouds" before they die, unaware that fate has a twist in store for them in the eternal mystery called life. “This is the story of two terminally ill patients who meet in the hospital. I thought this film would be about death, but the characters turned it into a story about life. About being alive. After all, death is part of life.” Na Gyi
