Zhanna Issabayeva

Zhanna Issabayeva was born in 1968 in Almaty. She studied journalism at the Kazakhstan State University, graduating in 1991. She quickly turned to production, then to film direction. She executive produced two films by Amir Karakoulov, Last Holiday (1996) and Jylama (2001), and in 2007 shot her first feature film, Karoy.
