Wei Shujun  

Wei Shujun was born in Beijing in 1991. He began his film career as an actor at the age of 14. He holds a master's degree from the Communication University of China. His three previous films have all been selected for the Cannes Film Festival: On the Border (short film, Special Jury Mention at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival), Running with the Wind (official selection at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival) and Ripples of Life (Directors' Fortnight in 2021).
