Peng Fei 

Pengfei was born in Beijing in 1982. After high school, he moved to Paris to study film at the Institut International de l'Image et du Son. He returned to China and became assistant to Taiwanese director Tsai Ming-liang. His first feature film as a director, Underground Fragrance, in 2015, won awards in the Venice Days section of the 72nd Venice Film Festival and at the 51st Chicago International Film Festival. Tracing Her Shadow, in 2020, was selected for competition at the 23rd Shanghai International Film Festival.
