Park Sunyoung

Park Sunyoung is the programmer in charge of Asian cinema at the Busan International Film Festival. She was a member of the jury at the Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival in 2019, the NETPAC jury at the Ulju Mountain Film Festival in 2020, and the Bishkek International Film Festival in 2023. Since 2020, she has been a member of the Asian Film Awards Academy nomination committee. She received her PhD in film studies from Chung-Ang University in 2011 and was a research professor at Korea University from 2011 to 2018. She has held several positions, including head of the Asian Film Academy at the Busan Film Festival (2005–2007), visiting researcher at the Korean Film Archive (2008), programmer for the Busan Cinema Forum (2011), advisor for the "IM Kwon-taek" retrospective (2013), and for the Korean Film Archive's Film Library Department (2015). She chairs the Marc Haaz Jury.
