Pan Nalin was born in Gujarat, India. From a modest background, he discovered his passion for filmmaking at a very young age. After studying art and design, he traveled extensively in the Himalayas, then directed documentaries for major international networks. In 2001, he directed his first feature film, Samsara, a Buddhist film that won several awards and was broadcast worldwide.
