Ozu Yasujirô
Ozu Yasujirô was born in 1903 in Tokyo. At a very young age, he became passionate about American cinema. He directed his first silent films in 1927. He moved on to talking films in 1934. He is one of the most famous directors in Japan. He directed 34 silent films and 20 talking films. Only 37 are preserved today. He died in 1963.
