Jing Yi

Jing Yi was born in 1994. He grew up in Xinjiang. A graduate of the Beijing Film Academy, he has written and directed several short films, often exploring the inner worlds of minority groups in contemporary China. His first feature film, The Botanist, was selected for the Asian Project Market in 2023. It had its world premiere at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival in the Generation Kplus competition.
