Jin Huaqing, a filmmaker and photographer, has made documentaries including Heavy Metal and Blossom with Tears, which have won over 50 awards at international film festivals and are in competition at FICA. His latest film, Dark Red Forest, received the Kau Ka Hoku Award at the 41st Hawaii International Film Festival and was nominated for the 58th Taiwan Golden Horse Awards in the Best Documentary category, as well as the 46th Hong Kong International Film Festival. He is currently working on a new fiction film, Hoh Xil Tales, and a documentary called Our Humble Souls, both in production.
