Hana Kamkar

Hana Kamkar is a renowned Iranian singer. She belongs to the group The Kamkars, a family of Kurdish musicians from Sanandaj. She plays the daf, an instrument she also teaches. Far from being satisfied with her multiple musical talents, she is also a seasoned photographer and has gravitated around cinematographic art for more than twenty years. She makes short films and documentaries, including the last one on her painter uncle, Arjang: Rythm and Colour. She presents The Witness by Nader Saeivar, a film in which she is one of the main actors.
