Emin Alper  

Emin Alper was born in 1974 in Konya. He studied economics and history at Bogazici University in Istanbul. He made his film debut with the short films The Letter in 2005 and Rifat in 2006, for which he was both director and screenwriter. He also worked as a social sciences professor at Istanbul University. He directed Beyond the Hill, his first feature film, which received a special mention for best first film and the Forum Award for best film at the Berlin Film Festival. He also directs television series.
