Carlos Chahine  

Carlos Chahine was born in Lebanon in 1959. He left his native country in 1975 because of the war. After studying dentistry, he discovered theater. He then joined the Strasbourg National Theater School. He went on to work with numerous directors in France and Lebanon. Starting in 2008, he directed a family trilogy inspired by his Lebanese past: La Route du Nord, Tchekhov à Beyrouth, and Le Fils du joueur. Mother Valley is his first feature film.
