“Mr. Kijima is not a yakuza any more. He seems to have chosen a quite different destiny” proclaims an article of a newspaper from Sapporo. But is this really true? A mysterious illustrator travels through northern Japan in search of witnesses who could confirm or refute the existential upheaval of the former Mafioso. The interviewer makes drawings inspired by these accounts.
In the course of encounters, the investigation is coupled with another entirely visual story made of drawings and sequences of films noirs.
