The Spark

Kabir, a young filmmaker, goes into the ancient Hindu city of Banaras with his camera and his murky past. As his camera captures the dead and dying of the city, he meets two extraordinary individuals: Durga, a young boy who cremates corpses and Amma who is waiting to die in the holy city to reach Moksha- liberation from the cycle of life and death. Kabir falls victim to an act of violence and his mind burns with volcanic anger and hatred. His past haunts him and his present vulnerability frightens him. He has decided to wreak revenge but a series of unexpected events challenges his conviction. Kabir and his mission are at a crossroads. Is it too late to turn back?
