Latika Padgaonkar, qui a un doctorat de l’Université de la Sorbonne, est écrivain et traductrice. Elle fut directrice adjointe du festival de films Osian’s Cinefan ainsi que rédactrice en chef de Cinemaya, the Asian Film Quaterly. Elle a co-édité plusieurs ouvrages : Being and Becoming: the Cinemas of Asia , The World of Kenji Mizoguchi et Asian Film Journeys: Selections from Cinemaya. Elle a participé à de nombreux jurys internationaux, contribué aux principaux quotidiens nationaux indiens, enseigné entre autres à l’Université Jawaharlal Nehru de Delhi, et a travaillé à l’UNESCO à New Delhi.
