Two cousins, Chatila and Reda, are Palestinian refugees living in Athens. Together, they repeatedly carry out petty scams to raise the large amount of money that will enable them to purchase fake passports, the key to Germany where they dream of finally being able to build a life of their own. However, this quest causes them to go beyond their personal limits, leaving part of themselves behind in the hope of a better future. - 'Palestine is a patchwork of stories and situations. Basically, we are a people of exiles. I tried to step into Reda and Chatila's shoes. How would I behave if I ended up stripped of everything: human rights, citizenship, documents, money, aid and even human dignity? How would I survive under such conditions? They each have their own ways of dealing with the situation: Reda resorts to paid sex work in the park while Chatila turns to Tatiana. I wanted to paint a picture of these two characters that was as authentic as possible, to accompany them so that the audience might have access to a world they would otherwise not know.' Mahdi Fleifel
