L'Enfance d'un Maître

Born in 1990 in Darjeeling, India, Kalu Rinpoche is what is known as a Tulku, the young reincarnation, recognized by the Dalai Lama, of a great Tibetan master who died in 1989 and whose name he now bears. Filmed from the age of 18 months, this documentary follows the unique journey of a future spiritual master. It offers a glimpse into the first 25 years of his life, with his questions, his doubts, and the path he treads, navigating between tradition and modernity. - 'By discovering the surprising life of Kalu Rinpoche, we journey to the heart of a traditional Buddhism that modern life does not seem to reject. This story, rich in twists and turns, takes us into the intricacies of this philosophy, which, more than a religion, is an art of living, far removed from the clichés with which it has often been burdened. This philosophy can enrich the lives of many young people of the new generation throughout the world.' Bruno Vienne, Jeanne Mascolo de Filippis, Snafu Wowkonowicz
