On Friday, July 8th, Mohammad Rasoulof and Mostafa Aleahmad, respected and dedicated Iranian filmmakers, were arrested in their residences and transferred to Evin prison. A day later Jafar Panahi was arrested while he was waiting in front of the prison with other filmmakers to enquire about the arrest.
As we continue to strongly condemn the authorities for their disregard of basic human rights and civil liberties and the persistent repression and pressure inflicted on independent Iranian filmmakers, we demand the immediate and unconditional release of our colleagues.
We ask for support from artists and filmmakers all over the world for the release of the imprisoned artists.

غروب جمعه هفدهم تیر ماه، محمد رسول‌اف و مصطفا آل‌احمد، سینماگران منتقد و متعهد در یورشی برنامه‌ریزی .شده به محل زندگی‌شان، بازداشت و به محل نامعلومی منتقل شدند. روز بعد جعفر پناهی، هنگام پیگیری وضعیت بازداشت شدگان به همراهی گروهی از فیلمسازان مقابل زندان اوین، بازداشت شد
ضمن محکوم کردن سرکوب و فشار مستمر به سینماگران مستقل و آزاداندیشان و عدم رعایت حقوق اولیه‌ی فردی و اجتماعی توسط نهادها و سازمان‌های ذی‌ربط، خواستار آزادی فوری و بدون قید و شرط همکاران‌مان هستیم
همراهی هنرمندان، سینماگران و کنش‌گران سراسر جهان را برای آزادی هنرمندان و منتقدین در بند خواستاریم
