Mam Balder, the winged uncle, has for long been a postman in many mountain villages of Iraqi Kurdistan. However, unlike a normal postman, he also passes words and speeches recorded on tapes. One day, a partisan leader who is far from his home asks him to record the first cry of his baby about to be born. When the postman goes to the village, he discovers that all the children and the leader’s wife have been shifted to the valley to ensure their security. He then sets off to find them, wherever they might be.

"The short human lifetime is a topic which always preoccupied me. I would like to find a way to make life more beautiful. One cannot prolong people‘s lives, but the artists can immortalise art created by the human". Shahram Alidi
