A group of hunters from the Cambodian high society is moving forward in a deep forest. Beautiful Kolap complains to the governor that animals seem to get away from them, as if my magic. Kolap does not believe in the protecting spirit he invokes, unlike her friend Eliane. Eliane’s brother Piero hates hunting. In the cave where they take shelter during a shower, Piero and Kolap kiss each other. They see the apparition of young Preah Anoch who invites them to the palace of her brother Preah Angk. They are invited to a meal and later to a dance program performed by Preah Anoch. Eliane is enchanted whereas Kolap throws a jealous fit to Piero. The following day Preah Anoch spurns Piero’s advances while Preah Angk, revealing himself as the spirit of the place, and Elian become closer.
