Enclosed in the extreme North-Eastern part of the country, at the border of Bhutan and Burma, the State of Assam turns out to be like ‘brackets’ coming from ancestral tales brought back to present. Deeply influenced by mythologies, the traditional Assamese society claims a spiritual protection at every moment of the day. With populations originated from various parts, and with various racial and cultural backgrounds, this former territory established itself as a successful example of integration and social mixing.
