Shlomi Elkabetz is an Israeli actor, director and scriptwriter born to a Moroccan Jewish family. At age 21, he joins a theater troop in New York. He wrote a few scripts, before cowriting and cofirecting, together with his sister Ronit Elkabetz, To Take a Wife in 2004. They also cowrite and codirect 7 Days, which opened Cannes' Critics' Week in 2008.
