Tolomouch Okeev was born in 1935. Graduated from Moscow's V.G.I.K. de Moscou, he starts as sound engineer, before becoming an actor and director for theater plauys. He starts directing movies in the 1960s, becoming one of the very best Kirgiz directors along Bazarov, Ouboukeev or Bolot Chamchiev. He died in 2001.
